TYPE DESIGN
2021

Aureum is a serif typeface that explores houseplants’ Victorian origins and references the common beginner houseplant pathos through its serifs and vine-like forms.

Aureum is inspired by houseplants’ beginnings. Referencing Victorian typefaces, Aureum’s forms recall when potted plants first became widely popular in the 1800s. Combined with the serif are the forms of the popular houseplant pathos, a hardy vine plant anyone can grow with just water. Aureum is perfect for the beginner houseplant owner, someone looking for a traditional typeface with a twist to users access to a simple typeface that can be used in many instances.
